The Government of West Bengal divided erstwhile WBSEB into two functionally independent companies viz. WBSEDCL and WBSETCL with effect from 1st April, 2007. West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd., a 1000 employee strong co., is responsible for transmitting electricity from generating sources to load centers across West Bengal. General Awareness, Computer Awareness, Test of Reasoning and English are included as subjects for the non-technical test. Overall 40% must be obtained by selected candidates for interview. One outside agency conducts the examination. Time AllotmentMaximum 90 minutes allotted altogether for technical and non-technical exams. and 30 minutes for the descriptive English test.InterviewMainly technical questions are asked in the interview.
